About
I am an artist. I like bringing stories to life. I like imagining what-ifs not just limited to the arts, but in every branch of knowledge, whether that be philosophy, history, or the sciences. I like imagining myself as other people, or creatures, and learning what it would feel like to travel our world or others in their skin, breathing their air.
I like thinking about what it means to be alive—to live—or to welcome death, yet fear it. I like exploring the tangled stirrings of our minds that struggle to be put into words, like wanting to be remembered, or longing to know those who have been gone for decades or centuries, and yet still sharing a close bond with them through what they have left behind.
I draw, animate, play music, write, and read.
I specialize in drawing various animals and creatures, though I enjoy drawing dragons and birds the most. I am still learning to draw humans that do not look like deformed blobs. Backgrounds and character design are skills of interest as well.
I play(ed) the flute and the piano, and like learning classical¹ music the most. I don't have a favorite composer, because I think their output is (generally) crazy good. I like different things about their styles and music. That's part of the joy of learning to play their stuff. I don't play music as much anymore due to my current life circumstances, but I hope to pick them back up someday once I get the time.
I used to write a lot of fleshed-out story headcanons for Wings of Fire, but those days are long over. I have transitioned into wanting to write original works of "serious literature," whatever that means.
I love all classic literature ("the classics"), but Russian literature—even more specifically, Fyodor Dostoevsky's works—hold a special place in my heart. He is my favorite author, without question. You are always welcome to message me about Crime and Punishment or "White Nights." I'm in the middle of reading The Brothers Karamazov.
I learn languages on the side. I am most interested in tackling Russian, but German and French are on my radar as well.
I am from the United States, and I am a sophomore (second year) undergraduate. I am studying cognitive science—a somewhat unknown, and very much underrated major (in my honest opinion)!
¹ It seems most people group baroque, classical, and romantic-era music into the single label "classical music," though this is technically inaccurate.
Violin SkyWing because yes.
Commissions
Message me if you are interested in commissioning me!
I am now taking Ko-fi sketch donations for 2-10 USD; if you're interested, please contact me at my links (Discord preferred)!
Once I get a drawing tablet around November 2024, I will be able to properly update this page after a long while :')
I currently do not have a commission prices sheet/chart nor a Terms of Service, but I will start work on them once I have had enough experience doing commissions and have a few art examples.
Here's what I've got so far:
